Job Description:
As a Helper at an Aluminum Company, your primary responsibility will be to provide support and assistance to the production and manufacturing team. Responsibilities:
Material Handling: Assist in the movement and transportation of raw materials, finished products, and equipment within the production area. This may involve operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
Machine Operation: Assist operators in setting up, operating, and monitoring machinery used in the aluminum production process. Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the proper functioning of equipment.
Quality Control: Perform basic quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards. Identify and report any defects or issues to supervisors or quality control personnel.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization within the production area. Clean equipment, work surfaces, and production tools regularly to ensure a hygienic and safe working environment. Assist in basic maintenance tasks, such as lubrication or replacing worn-out parts, under the guidance of skilled technicians.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training programs. Report any safety concerns or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels by conducting stock checks, recording usage, and assisting in the receipt and storage of incoming materials.
General Support: Provide general assistance to the production team as needed. This may include tasks such as documentation, record-keeping, and assisting in other areas of the production process.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred but not always required.
Basic understanding of production processes and machinery is advantageous.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, as the role may involve manual labor and standing for long periods.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
